New Fractional CMO, Carey Trevill, joins gigCMO


gigCMO has appointed Fractional CMO Carey Trevill, who has more than 20 years’ experience in marketing agencies and brings with her a sales driven approach and a track record developing businesses and driving profit from sustainable sources.

With significant regulatory and industry governance experience, Carey has an impressive repertoire of senior management roles under her belt, and today holds the role of Co-Founder and Director at Mission Element Ltd., providing marketing services including investment and market situation reporting for VCs and investors for marketing agencies.

Her skill at board level focuses on an insightful understanding of how structure impacts results, and in previous roles she has been instrumental in strategically planning and implementing significant change management programmes that include team re-structures, operational processes and annual budget re-forecasting to reverse loss-making positions.

In her previous role as Managing Director of The Institute of Promotional Marketing, a membership organisation centered on working with brands and agencies, she also sat as IPM representative on the CAP Committee, which creates and governs the Broadcast and Non-Broadcast rules with the UK.

Other roles have included Managing Partner at 3Sixteen Responsive Marketing, which was an independent agency that she helped to organically grow from owner-managed two man team to a solid respected agency; Managing Director UK at TLC Marketing Worldwide where she worked to merge the previous owner/managed agency with the UK arm of TLC Marketing Worldwide; and Managing Director at B STREET London, where she assisted in an agency revitalisation plan and supported the transition of the outgoing managing director.

Key clients have included Ferrero UK, Panasonic UK & EU, Kerry Foods, Unilever UK & EU, L’Oreal, PUMA, SSP, Tottenham Hotspur, Yoplait, Nisa, Wolverine Worldwide, Diageo, and Colgate-Palmolive.

Today, Carey also mentors for individuals and organisations and consults to establish the UK proposition for legal tech solutions with Legal Gateway. Her key areas of expertise as being:

  • Strategic business planning and implementation
  • Change management programmes
  • Insight and innovation projects
